MODSquad Vlog: What does being a MODSquad Mom mean to you?

Our very first link-up goes live today with our first Question of the Week: What Does Being A MODSquad Mom Mean To You? We would love to meet you. Please take some time to introduce yourself. You can link-up a post, a vlog, or leave a comment on this post.

Check out my vlog to find out the question for next week. . .

Small town midwest wife to Chad and mom to 3 very busy girls. I spend my days helping early elementary kids with reading and math. We are often found running between ballet and basketball, but love to cuddle in as a family to watch movies, play games or read good books.

I’ll go first! I’m Kristy, a 33-year-old wife and mommy from Northeast ohio. I’m married to my high school sweetheart and have three beautiful children – two boys and a girl. Right now I’m in the thick of trying to raise my kids for Jesus while living in a world that seems to expect the opposite. Thankfully, God is bigger than anything man can throw at us.

To me, being a MODSquad Mom means that I’ve got once chance to bring up with precious little girl, so I need to be intentional and make the most of every moment. My heart swelled a few weeks ago when she accepted Christ as her Savior, but I realize that is only the beginning of the battle. There will be trials and hardships and broken relationships in her life, and it’s my duty to guide her through these times and model God’s grace and forgiveness and patience.

More and more, I see that she’s just like me. Her need for attention, affirmation and unconditional love is something I know well. She’s a people pleaser and perfectionist who never feels good enough. As I’ve struggled my whole life with feelings of inadequacy my whole life, I know where she’s coming from and I pray that she knows how much God loves her and cherishes her. If she can grasp that at seven-years-old, she’ll be spared a lifetime of hurt.

I read the MODSquad posts because it’s nice to know I’m not alone! Thanks for such a great site!

Kristy we are rejoicing with you that your daughter accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior! That is truly awesome! You are a MODsquad mom who is focused on walking with your daughter and that is exactly what Christ did with His disciples. It will be exciting – and challenging you are right! But it sounds like you have a great start and your heart is focused on Jesus!

We are so glad you are here! We look forward to the days ahead and all that God has planned for us as we journey together!

    Hi Moms!

I am a mother of a daughter. She is 3.5 years old and she is my world (besides DH of course). I am very excited to get to know the MODsquad and to join you all in being one. My hopes, dreams, and goals for my DD is to teach her to know and love the Lord from a young age, to respect others, to develop a love for learning, and that being a homemaker is not necessarily any less than a working mother. I want her to grow up and respect any choice.

Hi I’m Stephanie, I have 3 daughters 9, 7 and 2. And a couple of boys in the mix also so I’m a dual member MODsquad and MOB society. Hope that’s alright. I have so enjoyed this site. It’s such an encouragement to me as I raise my girls. My 9 and 7 year old are so different (jury is still out on the 2 yr old) but I just try to use Gods word as a guide while working with their natural bents to help them grow into young women who will shine for Him. I look forward to getting to know y’all better.

I’m loving how MODsquad moms are able to gain wisdom and community both here and at the MOB Society! Isn’t God awesome?

Honestly, for me, it hasn’t been until getting involved here, that I’ve realized it’s also so important to know that boys are being raised with hearts of God as well! These are the men we’re praying for right now.

So I love that we’re seeing and exploring both sides together! Can’t wait to journey with you Stephanie!

I’m Melissa and have two daughters aged 2 and 4. They are a lot of work but definitely work we are blessed to experience. I also write with speaker Pam Stenzel and volunteer in a CPC, so it my prayer that my children will KNOW who they are in the Lord while they are young…that they will know Christ’s love…so that they can make good choices and their lives will glorify Him. I know God has given us as parents a big responsibility. He entrusted little formative lives to us. This group is definitely a joy to be a part of, as we can encourage and help one another on the journey!
