I’m so honored to be a part of this awesome ministry! As the mother of four girls {five, including the one we miscarried} I’m a shoo-in as a MODsquad mom, right? Ahh … but for me, it goes much deeper than that … let me share why …
I grew up “in the church” and gave my life to Christ at a young age … but then ended up walking away sometime during high school. Just walked away. No real reason except I desired to live my life the way I wanted.
I married my high school sweetheart, had a daughter and divorced when she was 3. I remarried, had 3 more girls … went through some bad seasons and found myself back at the foot of the cross, asking forgiveness and trusting the Lord to carry me through.
That was about 6 years ago and I’ve been committed to fostering my relationship with the Lord ever since.
It was through this journey, I’ve realized how very, very important it is to set a foundation of faith in my girls {aged 15, 8, 6, and 4} lives. And to help them nurture, grow, and understand what it looks like to live in a daily relationship with their heavenly Father.
My husband is not yet saved, so for me it’s also a balance of living in submission to my husbands wishes, while honoring my Father’s wishes.
In this crazy world our children, specifically our girls, are submersed in … the images, the marketing, the technology … I think it’s more important than ever to mirror a life of love, prayer, and a heart for God.
My goal as a MODsquad mom is to keep my girls on this path in life … to know they have a Father that loves and protects them. My prayer is that they continue to seek His face, live for Him and most importantly … share His love with others.
I’m so looking forward to sharing this journey with you!

Such a beautiful heart Tracie! And your girls are adorable! I am so honored to be sharing this journey with you! Thank you for already teaching me that one of the most important things I can do is simply listen to my girls! Truly a gift!

So nice to “meet” you, Tracie! I’m looking forward to what you have to share. As the mom of a 10-year-old every day seems fraught with situations and questions and dilemmas I had not ever considered.

On a lighter note, I can’t believe I have been seeing this pic of your girls everyday for months and this is the first time I noticed Hunter has a cast on. LOL
I love this post Tracie. Every morning I can’t wait to head over to tsjphotograpy to read what you have to share. I feel amazingly blessed that you are part of this ministry. Especially because you are going through everything before us. I am not quite ready for 15 yet. So thankful that God placed you in my path. I can’t wait to meet you IRL.
k, that’s funny amy! we called her our little “broken wing” and she milked every minute!
and THANK YOU {to you and stacey} for your awesome encouragement during my doubts!!

I’m with Heather – you’ve already taught me SO much! I’m so looking forward to taking this journey with you & learning how I can become a better step-mom to two beautiful girls. This is a wonderful thing you all are doing!
cyndi … i so glad that even though they’re your step-daughters … you care enough to want more for them and your relationship with them. that’s a gift to them you’ll never regret! thank you for journeying with us!!
Hi, Tracie, nice to meet you. I have two girls (and two boys) and I’m thinking it’s the girls that are going to be tougher. My almost 12 year old and I already have trouble; I suspect it’s because of that mom-daughter connection.
hi monica! i can’t wait to journey with you and see what God has in store! i believe we He’s going to knock our socks off with the things we’ll be learning from each other!
Hi Tracie! Thanks for sharing your heart and testimony with us! I was also a girl raised in church, but rebelled in high school (I was wild)! The Lord has blessed us w/ two little girls, and I want them to be complete and secure in Christ so they won’t try to fill their hearts with bad substitutes like I did when I was younger!
Also, MOD readers, let’s get on our knees and pray hard for Tracie’s husband’s salvation!
